Rock Landing Foundation β Launch Announcements
Draft set for the website launch. Multiple platforms, multiple angles. Pick what fits, edit anything that doesn’t feel like you.
Brand voice reminders: Confident, faith-rooted, trauma-informed, data-driven, professional but human. Says “familyless” (not “orphaned” or “familyless youth”). Mission line: “Not a Program With a Back Door. A Community With an Open Door.”
π °οΈ The Heart Version (Personal β Sherryl’s Voice)
Best for: Personal Facebook profile, LinkedIn personal post, email to close circle
For seventeen years I’ve spent my days caring for people the world calls “vulnerable.” Aging veterans. Adults the system was ready to forget. And every shift, in the quiet moments, the same question kept tugging at me:
Where do the kids go when no one is coming for them?
Today, Rock Landing Foundation has a home on the web.
π rocklandingfoundation.com
It’s not the building yet. The building is coming. But it’s the front door β where donors, partners, volunteers, and the young adults we’re building this for can finally find us.
We exist to provide transitional housing, vocational training, mental health care, and a real family for young people aging out of foster care in the Roanoke Valley.
Not a program with a back door.
A community with an open door.
If you’ve walked alongside me on this β thank you. If this is your first time hearing about it β welcome. Either way, the work starts now.

rocklandingfoundation.com
Rock Landing Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to one mission: providing transitional housing, workforce training, life skills, and family-style support for young adults aging out of foster care in Virginia’s Roanoke Valley.
This is what we’re building, in three chapters:
π Chapter 1 β The Foundation
A 25-bed transitional home in Troutville. The first step. Already zoned. Ready to break ground.
π Chapter 2 β The Campus
A 50-75 bed dedicated youth campus on 50-70 acres. Quonset-style cottages, vocational facilities, room to grow.
π Chapter 3 β The Community
A full residential village. 75-100 beds, 25-40 stay-on homes, working farm, multi-generational. The future.
Three chapters. One community.
Visit the site to see the renderings, meet our team, read our story, and find your way in β whether that’s volunteering, partnering, or giving.

Hi [First Name],
A quick note to share something I’ve been working toward for months:
Rock Landing Foundation’s website is live.
π [rocklandingfoundation.com](https://rocklandingfoundation.com)
This isn’t the building β that’s still ahead. But it’s how the world finds us now.
A few things you’ll see when you visit:
π The Vision page β the full three-phase plan, from our 25-bed Phase 1 to the full residential community in Phase 3. Renderings included.
π The Donate page β secure giving is open. One-time, monthly, or custom amounts. (Your gift today funds the youth we’ll house next year.)
π Choir Versus β our first major fundraising event. Twenty choirs, one stage, all proceeds direct to the youth.
π Rock Landing Ryderz β our 2027 motorcycle club concept. Family for life on two and three wheels.
The Foundation is incorporated, our VDACS registration is approved, and our 501(c)(3) application is in. We’re ready.
If you’ve supported us already β thank you. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to get involved β this is it.
The youth in our region are aging out and falling through. We’re building the place they can land.
With gratitude,

π ΄ The Faith-Forward Version (Church/Ministry Network)
Best for: Pastors, faith partners, church bulletins, ministry forums
π Friends,
After much prayer and a lot of late nights, Rock Landing Foundation has its public home:
π [rocklandingfoundation.com](https://rocklandingfoundation.com)
This work is what God put on my heart years ago β to build a real, faith-rooted, family-style place for young adults aging out of foster care in our region. Not a program. Not a holding pattern. A community.
The Foundation now has:
- 501(c)(3) application filed (pending IRS)
- Virginia charitable solicitation registration approved
- Special-use zoning secured for our Phase 1 property in Troutville
- Initial $100K line of credit committed from Truist
- A growing board, a clear three-phase plan, and an honest budget
What we need next:
- π Your prayers
- π Your introductions β to churches, employers, donors, foster care professionals
- π’ Your voice β share the site with someone who needs to know
- π΅ Your gift, if you’re led β every dollar goes toward the kids who have no one else coming for them
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress⦔ β James 1:27
We are doing the looking after.
Visit. Read. Share. Pray. Give.
